New President for DOGPAW?

Hello Fellow Dog Lovers!
I am Eileen Magill Cervantes, and I am honored to say that I am the new President of the Board of Directors for DOGPAW non-profit corporation! You may have seen me before at these parks, but I spend my mornings at Ike—rain, shine, or snow. Flynn (8-year-old Kooikerhondje, in the picture) is always with me, and my son's dog, Reina (5, Schnauzer/terror errr terrier mix), usually comes, too. On really good days, Misty (7, Australian Shepherd) rounds out our jubilant group.
Here's a quick summary of what I bring to the position of president: 30 years in various positions in government, from secretary to creating and managing a safety division for the city's electric utility. Most of that career dealt with public and worker safety, including working in the departments of engineering, police, fire, and communications (9-1-1 operator), and electric. I have degrees in Communications (AA), Business Administration (AA), Occupational Safety & Health (BS), Criminal Justice (BS), and English/Creative Writing (MA). Those last two degrees are because I am a murder mystery writer and own Magill's Quill, a manuscript editing business.
As you can imagine with my background, I am extremely passionate about communication and safety at our parks. Over the next few weeks, the current Board members will be bringing me up to speed; I will eventually have an official DOGPAW phone number and email (both currently go to the previous president), but until then, you can reach me at:

I want to know your concerns about the park. What are we doing right, and what are we doing wrong? What will make the parks better for our 4-legged family members? As the saying goes, you can't please everyone all the time, but you can irritate everyone most of the time. (Sorry, my sense of humor is sometimes a bit off.) We will do our best to prioritize issues that come to us, but please know that sometimes we won't be able to do everything you might want. Sometimes we won't be able to do something simply because we don't own the land, or our budget won't allow it, or a million other reasons. It is my personal goal to always give you an honest answer, even if it's not good news for you. But if you don't let us know that there is a problem or something that could be improved, we might not know about it or recognize how important it is to you. So please, please, bring your suggestions forward!
I hope to meet you all, and I will be going to each park at various times of the day/week. Keep an eye out, and please introduce yourself! But most of all, let's keep our best friends happy, exercised, and safe.
